ACSION is a project granted and funded by the French
ministry of research in the framework of the ACI Sécurité & Informatique (Security & Computer
science).
Description
The goal of this project is to bring together the know-how of three
teams
(ENST, INRIA, Université Paris 8) in coding and cryptography, in
order
to investigate new applications of coding to information security.
More precisely, what we wish to develop in this project are:
tools for cryptanalysing symmetric ciphers based on decoding
algorithms borrowed from the theory of error-correcting codes.
systems that authenticate either data or identity by making use
of error correcting codes. We have in mind systems that may either
identify or revocate sets of stolen keys in broadcast encryption
schemes. We also intend to contribute to the design of biometric
identification schemes that by their very nature need to incorporate
some sort of error control.
