This web page is devoted to gate-level simulation of the
LC-2 processor, described extensively in Yale N. Patt and
Sanjay J. Patel textbook
"Introduction
to Computing Systems (from bits & gates to C & beyond)".
The DigLC2 simulator started as a support tool for an
introductory
architecture course (in French, september-december 2001) at
École Polytechnique, France.
- Lectures:
Olivier Temam.
- Practical sessions:
Albert Cohen and
Olivier Temam.
- Simulator:
Albert Cohen.
The DigLC2 simulator
- A short overview
of DigLC2 presented at
WCAE'02.
- Download the
archive
containing the circuit files, microprogram, example programs, etc.
- For contents and usage, see the
README
file. DigLC2 is covered by the GNU General Public License.
Support and tools
- DigLog is the underlying digital simulator framework.
- Browse the
online documentation.
- DigLog's
home
page at Chipmunk;
source (GPL), documentation and binairies (UNIX and Win32).
- Download the DigLog
distribution.
Contents (see DigLog's home page for details and
additional software by Chipmunk):
webdoc1.43.tar.gz , the documentation
for all Chipmunk tools;
psys-1.56.tar.gz , the machine-dependent
support libraries;
log-5.58.tar.gz , the analog/digital
circuit simulator.
- Informations about the LC-2 processor.
- The publisher's web page for
"Introduction to computing systems",
add-ons, erratas, assembler/simulator suite for the
LC-2 (fully-fledged assembler with directives,
functional simulator several orders of magnitude faster than
DigLC2...)
