Research interests:

• Cloud-based management of Web data, joint work with Dario Colazzo, Jesus Camacho-Rodriguez, Francois Goasdoue, Zoi Kaoudi and Francesca Bugiotti
• Efficient techniques for large-scale XML data management, and in particular based on materialized views and P2P networks, see the VIews in P2P (VIP2P) project. Joint work with Jesus Camacho-Rodriguez, Konstantinos Karanasos, Asterios Katsifodimos and many others
• Database techniques for the Semantic Web, joint work with Francois Goasdoue, Konstantinos Karanasos, Julien Leblay, Alexandra Roatis and Stamatis Zampetakis. We consider an array of database techniques and their application to the management of RDF data and RDF-annotated XML documents. See the RDF View Select project.
• Scalable interactive visualization. Joint work with Jean-Daniel Fekete.

• WebContent is a RNTL project aiming at building a Warehouse for Web resources. I coordinated Work Package 5 (peer-to-peer warehousing).
• XML Access Modules (XAMs) (2004-2007)
• MemBeR (2005-2006): A micro-benchmark repository
• KadoP (2004-2008), a peer-to-peer platform for sharing data and knowledge, based on ActiveXML.
• XSum (2003-2005), an XML summary library
• XQueC (2003-2008), a compressed queriable XML database.
• WebML (2002-2005) project on declarative Web site modeling. I worked on extending WebML by incorporating workflow-style design and Web services.
• The XML benchmark project (2001-2002)
• LeSelect (1999-2001), a data integration system commercialized by Mediance, since acquired by BusinessObjects, since acquired by SAP

Former PhD students:

• Wael Khemiri, co-advised with Jean-Daniel Fekete (INRIA Aviz) and Veronique Benzaken. Graduated in 2011, currently a teaching assistant at Universite Paris Sud-11.
